Science of architecture
Vastu Shastra is a traditional Hindu system of architecture — design, layout, measurements, ground preparation and spatial geometry.
The designs integrate architecture with nature, the relative functions of parts of the structure, geometric patterns (yantra), symmetry and directional alignments. Principles are drawn from Sthapathya Veda.
